Hello, welcome to my Website!

- M.A in Applied Psychology with specialization in Counselling (2017-19) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS); - B.Sc (Hons) in Human Development from J.D Birla Institute (JDBI). - I have worked formerly in an international organization for Overall Health and Well-being.
Experience with various populations
Over the years, I have worked at various centers with various populations ranging from Children, Young Adults, Adults in long term care for severe Mental Illnesses and Elderly Care. I have developed a strong Grounding in Parenting and Empowering individuals in their Healing journey.
What is Counseling & Therapy?
It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike.
I effectively implement various psychotherapy methods, as per the suitability of the individuals to instill self-understanding and empower them to continue their Life with optimum potential and joy, embracing the experiences they have. I believe that while individuals learn and develop coping skills when going through the Healing process, the support systems, especially the family plays a huge role in the Journey. Hence when working with children especially, addressing Parenting is crucial. I also believe in the Consciousness and in the Holistic Being of every individual. (I know this seems pretty heavy and difficult to understand, so just Hang in there while I explain it). It basically means that I believe in seeing the individuals have the capacity to change the course of their lives, and make the choices right for them as per their individual experiences and situations. I believe in not only seeing the problem, distress and the limiting factors of the individual, but rather understanding the person for who they are with their strengths, and lived experiences.
Significance of Family, & a Support Circle
I believe that while individuals learn and develop coping skills when going through the Healing process, the support systems, especially the family plays a huge role in the Journey. Hence when working with children especially, addressing Parenting is crucial.
Belief in Working Together through Collaborative Work
Having said all of the above, I also believe that a lot can also be done in the Preventive aspects to reduce the need of interventions. Here comes in the need for community awareness, working with groups, organizations, and communities. When organizations, communities commit to not only educating themselves and the members regarding Mental health & Wellbeing, but also to take collective measures to ensure the wellbeing of its members, the risk of individuals to burn out and fall apart reduces.
